With his gold ladle, Fukuro releases mountain deers and with his silver one, Fukuro releases fishes (as seen in the Climbing cutscene).Fukuro is the only character in the entire game that does not talk.When Lucky becomes the champion, Fukuro can be seen on top of the Dojo.
Fukuro only returns to the Climbing Dojo once someone else reaches to the top of the mountain.Furthermore, Fukuro means "owl" (梟 ふくろう) in Japanese.Fukuro is based on the Ainu mythological divinity, Cikap-Kamuy.This is because he is too large to enter buildings. Fukuro is also impossible to interact with from the overworld as he remains atop either the climbing mountain or the Climbing Dojo. His usual expression displays an aggressive attitude. He mostly acts like "an overseeing owl", looking at the distance. The ladle to his right is silver, while the ladle to his left is gold.įukuro's personality is mostly an enigma throughout the game.
He has yellow claws, beak and inner-ears as well as black on his body.įukuro's feet are huge claws, while he uses his wings to hold giant ladles, which he uses during the climbing minigame to deflect Lucky from reaching the top of the mountains. He wears a short-sleeved blue and light blue vest. Fukuro has orange eyes and large white hair (eyebrows and beard). His abdomen has a traditional Ainu pattern colored in indigo. Fukuro is (like Cikap-Kamuy, the inspiration) is a giant mythical Blakiston's fish-owl, mainly with pale blue and white plumage.
